Martha Stewart Member Rating: 5 stars 11/30/2018 This recipe is simple and simply amazing! And it is adaptable. By this I mean it is easy to lighten it a bit if one prefers to do so. I doubled the recipe and it was a hit from everyone who had some. The texture is dense, as I like it, but easy to lighten a bit by either not beating the cream so thick or just adding a bit of milk. I say all of this as one who has had many tiramisu's in many forms from many restaurants (it is my favorite desert and I have ordered it in many restaurants around the country). While some have been a tad better none have been this foolproof and simple to make. I highly recommend it to those who really like tiramisu. And btw, I used Costco's pound cake. Martha Stewart Member Rating: 1 stars 05/20/2018 I successfully wasted 4 packages of cream cheese, some coffee, rum, chocolate, sugar, and cake. Don't waste your time or ingredients make the real stuff. Martha Stewart Member Rating: 5 stars 11/16/2017 I've made it twice for parties and it's gotten rave reviews. The only thing I changed was to add a bit of vanilla to the cream cheese mixture. Martha Stewart Member Rating: 5 stars 09/02/2016 Great recipe. Easy and tasty. No leftovers :) Martha Stewart Member Rating: 5 stars 09/02/2016 This was a great recipe. People went back for seconds. Super easy to make too. Martha Stewart Member Rating: 5 stars 09/02/2016 This is a great 'fake' Tiramisu. The flavors are fabulous. Everyone went for seconds! Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 03/08/2016 Very mediocre recipe. Tiramisù calls for mascarpone (not cream cheese) and marsala (not rum or brandy); both are essential for its unique flavor. Otherwise, all you've got is a coffee-flavored trifle. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 06/02/2015 I hope folks who get on their high-horse and make nasty/sarcastic comments are basically making fools of themselves, nothing more. Grow up and get over yourselves. Martha Stewart Member Rating: 5 stars 01/31/2015 I love this recipe. It's easy to follow...when short on time it comes together rather quickly and I've never had even one spoonful leftover when served to guests. It has always been a hit. Thank you Martha!! Martha Stewart Member Rating: 5 stars 01/22/2015 OK, so this isn't a traditional Tiramisu; lighten up. This recipe is reminiscent of, and obviously developed for a quick and still pleasing dessert when time is short. If not to your high standards, move on. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 01/19/2015 This is not Tiramisu. This is nothing like Tiramisu. It is an interesting interpretation of perhaps a triffle. Tiramisu needs mascopne, espresso and cream, NOT cream cheese frosting and instant coffee. I am generally impressed with Martha Stewart, but this is a fail. Martha Stewart Member Rating: 4 stars 10/17/2013 Tried this recipe with a homemade marble pound cake & it was just great. Used home made cream cheese for the recipe.. Everyone just loooved it. One of the best cakes i have baked. Extremely easy to prepare & a delicious treat. Martha Stewart Member Rating: 2 stars 01/14/2013 Hmm... i dont know if others just used loaf cake or something, but mine was pretty dry using pound cake. The coffee mixture didnt soak all the way through like usual tiramisu. And im really not fond of this cream cheese frosting trend.... Just made the dish taste sour-ish. Minus the cream cheese, everything tasted fine; but just wasnt great texturally. Next time id take out the cream cheese, use moist loaf cake instead or a thinner slice of pound cake, and add more coffee mixture. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 10/13/2010 I made this for a crowd and thought I would have leftovers! Not a chance, everyone loved it. I even did 3 layers with the same amount of cream filling, just more slices of pound cake. I used vanilla pound cake because that was all my bakery had, and brandy. Very good, will be making again!
