Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces (3 cups) blackberries

  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream

Directions

Puree berries and 1 cup ice cream in blender until smooth. Strain through a fine sieve, pressing on berry mixture to extract liquid. Discard solids. Transfer berry mixture to a clean blender with remaining 3 cups ice cream, and puree until smooth.

Divide mixture among sixteen 2 1/2-ounce ice-pop molds, and freeze until hardened, at least 4 hours.

                I was unable to find good ice pop molds either... probably because I was shopping for them towards the end of the summer. Maybe I did something wrong with these but mine were too crystallized and not creamy enough. The flavor was fantastic, though, although my kitchen was splattered with purple after making these. Also, this was an expensive recipe- it uses about $20 worth of berries!!!!

                I was unable to find good ice pop molds either... probably because I was shopping for them towards the end of the summer.
