Simple fast and delicious, and as with other MS recipes flexible. I used an amoretto liqueur since we didn't have hazelnut on hand and it was great. Basically it's a simple syrup with flavoring. I prefer this version to those that use flavor extracts. The heft of the liqueur works well.

Directions
Heat sugar, liqueur, and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar has dissolved. Let cool completely.
