                I’ve been making a version of this for years and it’s a requested holiday staple now. I often reduce the sugar to 3/4 cup and occasionally I add the zest of a whole orange. I’ve even added dried cranberries to it and used it as a sweet roll filling.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 3 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • Zest of 1/2 orange
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Place over medium-high heat, and cook 7 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until berries start to pop but are still whole. Transfer to a bowl to cool; serve.
