This was delicious. Not only did it have a fresh light taste, it was pretty. I served it in a trifle dish which was unusual but it made a great presentation. I used cranberry flavored ginger ale instead of the club soda and found that about half of the simple syrup rounded out the flavors nicely but didn't make it too sweet for my palette. Everyone loved it and were surprised that they could make it so easily so of course many asked for the recipe.

We hosted a holiday party this weekend and this punch was a huge hit! I made three batches and it was gone in no time. I used about 1/4th of the simple syrup that the recipe called for (I dont love sweet drinks), but otherwise stuck to the recipe. I added cranberries and orange slices to the pitcher which was a nice touch. I mixed everything except for the club soda on the morning of the party and just added the club soda right before our guests arrived and it worked perfectly.

My neighbors served this at their Christmas party last year. We moved to another state a few months ago but I loved this punch so much, I contacted them for the recipe so we could serve it to our new neighbors this fall. So very good and gives you just enough of a *kick* if you know what I mean.

Made 2 double batches of this for a holiday party. There wasn't a drop left. Followed the recipe exactly and it was delicious. And I got over my fear of making simple syrup...yes, it was very simple. Highly recommend!
