In a bowl, toss chicken with sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic, and 1/4 teaspoon of the red-pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper. Thread each chicken strip lengthwise onto a skewer.

Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 07/25/2016 Because of peanut allergies I use cashewnut paste. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 02/25/2014 The chicken was amazing! My family loves spice and strong flavors, so I always double the garlic, heavy on chili - as I did in this case. I used a stove top griddle to cook the chicken breasts on moderately high heat until golden. Teenage boys LOVED it, saying I was the best cook:-) The sauce was a bit too peanut buttery. I added a lot more chili, sriracha, vinegar, splash of soy sauce, s.oil and heated it on low. With 3x the chicken, 1/2 the sauce was enough, lightly drizzled. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 12/20/2010 AuntieBetty, I have baked chicken satay skewers, just be sure to soak the wooden skewers in water for a few hours or they could char/burn in the oven. I went about 25 minutes at 350 turning a few times. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 10/01/2010 I'm going to try baking the chicken/skewers rather than frying. Has anyone already tried this way? Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 03/30/2010 The chicken was good, but not as much flavor as I would have liked. The dipping sauce is AWFUL!!! There are so many better recipes out there for this. I would never make this one again. Peanut butter and vinegar? REALLY??? Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 03/26/2010 These are tasty. The marinade isn't so flavorful but juicy, grilled chicken is always yummy. I'm surprised how flavorful the sauce was with so few ingredients. The sauce is great, dip some cucumbers into it like I did- delicious. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 08/03/2009 Fabulous combo for summer nights. I made them for a party and they disappeared. Dipping sauce is killer good. Also made feta dip on this site to go with and it was also wonderful. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 04/19/2009 I made this and it was pretty good - http://marthaandme.wordpress.com/2009/04/18/chicken-satay-skewers/Martha Stewart Member
