Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 02/19/2009 I think I had the heat too high as my green beans got way more than "browned in spots". They were still tasty though next time I will turn the heat lower. Also didn't have pine nuts on hand and substituted sliced almonds.

Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 02/19/2009 a simple and delicious recipe!!!! i used sliced almonds instead of pine nuts adding them after thirty minutes, they toasted nicely in about 5 min. this was a nice side dish for the baked haddock we had for dinner. i will definitely make this again.also used a stainless steel skillet which i think helped caramelize the beans
